Adkins has had a 25-year career full of bold authenticity and chart-topping hits. He mixes sounds from all over the Country spectrum with his powerful baritone and commanding stage presence. Since his first album came out in 1996, the bigger-than-life star has sold more than 11 million albums and charted more than 37 singles, with 14 of them reaching the Top 10 on Billboard. He also has two billion streams and a reputation for fiery live shows. He has also been nominated for multiple Grammys, won awards from the ACM and CMT, and is known for being willing to think outside the box.

Now, 25 years after the release of his first album, “Dreamin’ Out Loud,” he has released his 13th studio album, “The Way I Wanna Go.” This album has 25 new songs. In “The Way I Wanna Go,” Adkins leans into his lone-wolf spirit and keeps going down the path that led him to become a shape-shifting member of the Grand Ole Opry. “The Way I Wanna Go” is filled with the cultural mix of his Louisiana upbringing.

The new album covers all of Adkins’ hit-making styles, from traditional ballads to clever Country party songs. The sound of the album ranges from classic twang to beat-driven bravado, and it features a who’s who of random guests. Blake Shelton, Luke Bryan, Stevie Wonder on harmonica, Snoop Dogg, Pitbull, Keb’ Mo’, and Melissa Etheridge are among the stars who worked on the song. And Adkins’ skill as an artist is better than ever.
