Naples Philharmonic Sypert Salon Chamber Music

Musicians of the Naples Philharmonic
Lucas Jussen

Arthur Jussenpiano

Beethoven — String Quartet, Op. 18, No. 5
Schumann — Andante and Variations, Op. 46
Mozart — Sonata for Two Pianos, K. 448

Mozart’s Sonata for Two Pianos is also part of the Naples Philharmonic Masterworks series. Pianists Arthur and Lucas Jussen join the musicians of the Naples Philharmonic to amaze audiences with how well they know each other’s techniques and how well they play together. Mozart’s one and only sonata written for two keyboards is joyful, melodic, and refined. It is full of melodies that overlap and give the Jussen brothers a lot of chances to show off their musical skill and precision. Beethoven’s unpredictable String Quartet No. 5 and Robert Schumann’s rarely played Andante and Variations for horn, two cellos, and two pianos are also on the program.

The Sypert Salon Series is generously sponsored by Drs. George Sypert and Joy Arpin.
